"An Exhibition with Charity Drive!
When we received the news we would be moving back to Germany, I thought about all my Chinese-inspired paintings. I painted a lot in my Guangzhou home. I tried to paint the intriguing things I saw here in China for the first time as a German housewife. I painted my feelings. I started with realistic works and moved to abstract ones. I played around with different materials and lighting. I made sculptures in bronze. I was busy with all my projects and now have a house full of artwork. I can’t and don’t want to take everything home with me back to Germany. As a lot of people know, I am responsible for the “First Steps in Guangzhou”, a guidebook for foreigners to help them to find their way through the urban jungle of the big city, Guangzhou. With the money we get for the book, we support various charity projects in Guangzhou and one in Guangxi.So, I got the idea to sell my artwork for charity.
People like me, living with a chronic disease such as Morbus Parkinson, will understand we are still able to share our creativity in meaningful ways. I did the paintings for myself, but I hope to sell majority of them to help others."
Je vous laisse decouvrir quelques peintures ;
Pour ceux qui sont sur Guangzhou, l'expo fermera ce soir a 22h
